Playing With a New Technique

Thank goodness it's club week!  I've been dying to see all my girls!  With my dad's surgery, I've really cut back on classes this month. We weren't sure how things were going to play out, and I've been lucky enough to get to spend the recovery time with my dad.   The last thing he needed was a bunch of us crazy stampers letting loose in the basement:)  Club; however, was not up for debate.  These ladies are family, and I will admit... my sanity!   I really look forward to our monthly meetings.

This month we're testing out the Embossing Folder Wax Paper resist technique.  I love the vintage feel that it gives to the image!  Want to hear something funny?  I had to buy an iron to do this technique!  Can you imagine not owning an iron?????  I have my garment steamer and that is all I've relied on for the past year, but it definitely wouldn't do for this technique!  My hubby was definitely in shock when I asked him to go out and buy me an iron as he knows that I would rather gouge my eyes with a paper piercer than iron clothing:)

LOL - I might be more inclined to pull out an iron if it resulted in something fun like making a card ;) This is SO gorgeous!
